Koh Kood (also called Ko Kut), is close to the Cambodian border and is the second largest island after Koh Chang. The island is large and mountainous and most of the island is covered by rainforest.

If you are going to Koh Kood, you will find the most wonderful sandy beaches on the western or southern coasts.
In the past, you could only visit Koh Kood on day trips, but of course that has also changed in recent years.
Today, there are several small resorts with price levels where everyone can join.
Despite Koh Kood’s fine roads, there is no public transport.
If you are going to explore Koh Kood and all its delights, then either rent a scooter, arrange a tour with your resort or make an appointment with the locals.
Khlong Chao is the closest you come to a city with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.
Koh Kood is definitely not a party or nightlife destination – you can easily find bars that stay open for a long time, but don’t be shocked if you’re the only guest.
You can visit Koh Kood all year round, but the island is most visited between December and March – it is a good idea to book accommodation in advance.
From May to October, almost everything but the larger hotels close – due to the monsoon which can devastate terribly during that period.
You can reach Koh Kood by either speed boat from Koh Chang or from Trat by local boat. The trip takes approx. 2 hours.
Along the way, guests are dropped off on several islands, among others, Koh Mak.
From Trat, the trip to Koh Kood takes 70 min. with the local “ferry“.
