Review of Amara Bangkok Hotel – great hotel with roof top pool and club member luxury

Amara Bangkok Hotel is located in the Silom area of Bangkok. The fact that we fell over this particular hotel was certainly due to the pictures of the beautiful infinity pool overlooking Bangkok on the 26th floor.

Amara Bangkok Hotel  is a 5 star hotel and it is certainly not without reason. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, everything worked exactly as it should.

After a quick check-in, we were followed to our room on the 16th floor.

The rooms at the Amara Bangkok Hotel

We got a BEAUTIFUL room with the most amazing panoramic views of Bangkok from the large floor to ceiling windows.

The room size was fine – not large, but perfectly comfortable. There was room for both moving around, luggage storage, fridge and coffee / tea making facilities.

The double bed and the nice extra bed we had requested were both of really good quality.

The bathroom was really nice with a freestanding bath, large shower area, separate toilet and a huge mirror with lots of light.

Also in the bathroom we had the nice big panoramic windows overlooking Bangkok.

Very stylish to lie in a bathtub overlooking Bangkok’s skyline.

The pool area of the Amara Bangkok Hotel

We quickly got off our luggage. The journey had been long so we were excited to see and try the pool at the top of the hotel.

We were not disappointed here either. A beautiful infinity pool overlooking all Bangkok skyscrapers.

Behind the pool there were sunbeds and small cozy areas as well as a bar that made great dinks in all genres.

Amara Bangkok Hotel Club lounge

Amara Bangkok Hotel‘s restaurant is located in the basement level. A very nice restaurant. BUT on the 20th floor is the hotel‘s Club lounge, which was far more interesting.

If you book a Club room, which is a little more expensive than a regular room, then you really get value for money.

We were in a club room and thus had access to the hotel‘s Club Lounge.

The 20th floor Club Lounge had a beautiful terrace with flowers and green plants everywhere.

Breakfast is served in the basement restaurant and in the club lounge. But who wants to sit in a basement when you can sit in the shade on a beautiful terrace with freshly squeezed juice and home-brewed coffee?

Late afternoon there were – what the hotel calls a small snack for Happy Hour, but in reality it was a fantastic buffet with a huge selection of small delicious dishes and cakes.

For this there were all kinds of drinks ad libitum – all included your club lounge booking.

We fully enjoyed this recurring daily “snack” event, and were ready at sharp 5pm every day.

From what I can read, small refreshments and snacks are served throughout the day. In the evening cocktails are served, but whether they are incl. i’m not sure.

Surroundings & Facilities at Amara Bangkok Hotel

On the 22nd floor you will find Amara Bangkok Hotel‘s well-equipped fitsness department. Here you can work out while looking from the large ceiling to floor windows beyond Bangkok.

The fitness center is open 24/7, so if you want to exercise at night you can work out while others sleep.

On the ground floor of the Amara Bangkok Hotel is the reception, another small bar and a miniature kiosk.

Amara Bangkok Hotel has a lot to offer. In addition to the above facilities, on the 8th floor there is also a business area with meeting and conference facilities

On the first floor you’ll find the cafe Barista, which we unfortunately didn’t visit.

The area in which the Amara Bangkok Hotel is located is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. By taxi or tuk-tuk you can easily and quickly reach Bangkok’s many sights.
